Successful opening of St John’s Supportive Housing

St John’s Community Care are proud to announce the formal opening of three modern houses at Gordonvale which can provide supportive accommodation for up to 9 young people between 18 and 65.
The official opening occurred on Saturday June 11th, 2016 with a ceremony led by His Grace Bishop Iakovos to bless and formally open the three buildings with MP Hon. Curtis Pitt to cut the ribbon.
The Elderly Parent Innovation is an initiative of the QLD State Government.
The initiative of the three houses is to provide positive support options to elderly carers who are no longer able to care for their loved one with a disability.
St John’s recognises the continued need for community care options through the availability of individualised accommodation spaces. These opportunities have the human rights principles at the forefront with service provision that is equal and accessible.
